towards them, and also towards their children. They are heard in the police stations when making complaints, in the courts in processes of re-linking their ex-partners with their children, when denouncing the non-payment of food, by professionals, family members, the media, among others.<\/p><p>These phrases are heard because they are part of the macho discourse that is the majority in our society: women are primarily responsible for the care of children, even when in a context of gender violence, mistreatment of them and the violation of their rights are consequences of the behavior of the father, who is also violent with her.<\/p><p>Parents choose and decide what kind of parenting to exercise.
