with the aim of providing a solution to a problem that, at that time, was not talked about and was kept hidden: violence of genre. The fact of belonging to a minority group, gregarious, and with a history of persecution, has predisposed our community to keep problems \u201cinside\u201d and not to get involved. However, this occurs in all societies of the world. Gender violence does not distinguish race, social level or religion, and that is why from the beginning the commitment was and is to extend our task to the entire society.<\/p><p>In a short time we made ourselves known. We produced this newspaper, the KOL Shalom Bait, where we began to write about gender violence, we shared testimonies, and we held talks and workshops. We raised our voices to give a voice to women victims, and before long the inquiries and requests for support began to arrive.<\/p><p>We understand gender violence as a problem that transversally affects all aspects of a woman's life, and therefore requires an approach that contemplates this level of complexity. This is why we set ourselves the goal of serving with commitment and launching a comprehensive and interdisciplinary intervention model. We provide psychological assistance, legal advice and legal sponsorship.<\/p><p>More than 3,000 women have passed through our institution, trusting in our task and finding in Shalom Bait a space where they can take the first steps towards exiting violence.<\/p><p>We build a trustworthy space where women are listened to, valued and encouraged. Throughout these 15 years we have faced great challenges. With each woman we have accompanied we learned, we reviewed our practices, we grew.<\/p><p>The comprehensive approach to violence that we carry out is complemented by our other two areas of work: training and prevention, since we are convinced that only a profound social transformation can lead to the elimination of this problem.<\/p><p>It is inevitable to notice the rise of the feminist movement both in our country and globally, a movement of which we are part. We are excited to see with our own eyes what we considered a dream at the beginning of our organization: the transformation of the reality of all women of today and tomorrow. We know that there is still much to do. Gender violence does not distinguish race, social level or religion, and that is why from the beginning the commitment was and is to extend our task to the entire society.<\/p><p>In a short time we made ourselves known. We produced this newspaper, the KOL Shalom Bait, where we began to write about gender violence, we shared testimonies, and we held talks and workshops. We raised our voices to give a voice to women victims, and before long the inquiries and requests for support began to arrive.<\/p><p>We understand gender violence as a problem that transversally affects all aspects of a woman's life, and therefore requires an approach that contemplates this level of complexity. This is why we set ourselves the goal of serving with commitment and launching a comprehensive and interdisciplinary intervention model. We provide psychological assistance, legal advice and legal sponsorship.<\/p><p>More than 3,000 women have passed through our institution, trusting in our task and finding in Shalom Bait a space where they can take the first steps towards exiting violence.<\/p><p>We build a trustworthy space where women are listened to, valued and encouraged. Throughout these 15 years we have faced great challenges. With each woman we have accompanied we learned, we reviewed our practices, we grew.<\/p><p>The comprehensive approach to violence that we carry out is complemented by our other two areas of work: training and prevention, since we are convinced that only a profound social transformation can lead to the elimination of this problem.<\/p><p>It is inevitable to notice the rise of the feminist movement both in our country and globally, a movement of which we are part. We are excited to see with our own eyes what we considered a dream at the beginning of our organization: the transformation of the reality of all women of today and tomorrow. We know that there is still much to do.
