Paula Iudica<\/span><\/p><p>\u201cNi Una Menos is a cry and a common hug that makes each of the spaces of our lives tremble and overflows into the streets. Together and for us we become powerful. That is why today we say again, Enough!\\\"<\/p><p>A new third of June found us in the streets. Nothing changed? Actually yes. The rate of femicides accelerated. \\\"We do not have a single day that is not marked by mourning\\\" clarifies the document drawn up by the organizations that called for the march*. Femicide represents the extreme point of an almost infinite chain of different types of violence that women suffer. We know it very well. We live and hear it every day of our lives. The women's movement that has been fighting and working for decades also knows this.<\/p><p>In two years, \\\"Ni Una Menos\\\" that began representing the common cry that says ENOUGH of femicides, began to appropriate the claim against all forms of violence that Argentine women go through. It represents the union of all women, sisterhood, that concept that surrounds us, fills us with strength, energy, makes us weave networks and alliances, sharpens our senses and makes us continue this fight.<\/p><p>Lawsuits made in 2015 are still pending. The need for comprehensive policies for the prevention of patriarchal violence, the need to expand and correctly implement specialized free legal support for women victims of gender violence as provided by law, obstetric violence that until very recently was totally invisible, the legal, safe and free abortion that never comes, the defunding of the Comprehensive Sexual Education program that misinforms our girls and adolescents. The complicity of justice in cases of child sexual abuse that continues to revictimize, the State that does not look for the disappeared young women, the trafficking networks.<\/p><p>The foreign debt that grows, layoffs, inequality and labor discrimination. The media that exacerbates gender stereotypes, the immigration law that violates and stigmatizes, racism, discrimination and xenophobia, which always attacks women harder, failures in the full implementation of the identity law of gender. Higui, imprisoned for almost 9 months for defending herself against the attackers who wanted to rape her, her companions arrested and prosecuted between March 7 and 8.<\/p><p>Another thing changed. Since 2015, it is not only the feminist organizations that take to the streets. It is that a good part of society understood that violence against women, that inequality, injustice, is a social problem, and that the world in which we want to live, we have to fight and build it together. We have to continue demanding from the State what it owes us.
