There are insults that I use very frequently, there are others that I reserve for special occasions and there are others that do not even enter my sad and shameful arsenal. It is worth clarifying here that I am not proud to admit that I insult. I firmly believe that it is a sign of weakness and lack of respect for other people and that insulting always, inevitably, hurts me too.<\/p><p>More than thirty years ago I eliminated an insult from my repertoire: Mogolic! The day I realized that I was using the characteristics of a person with a disease to attack and belittle someone's intelligence. I felt very embarrassed and took it out of my box.<\/p><p>Almost 20 years ago I removed another one: Puto! It is very common for men to use this insult to disqualify the masculinity of another man. Being cowardly, making mistakes, showing doubts, not being as strong as supposed, not daring to approach a woman or expressing fear are behaviors and attitudes that make a boy or man worthy of insults and be described as \\\"less of a man\\\". The condition of homosexuality as a negative attribute ceased to be true for me and the use of this insult shows a denigrating and bestial machismo.<\/p><p>A few weeks ago, after being stunned again by the latest femicides, which speak of the worst of human beings, I decided to start a campaign within myself: I removed the Son of a Bitch from my repertoire.<\/p><p>A thief, a corrupt person, a serial rapist, a murderer, a genocide, a sports opponent, a soccer referee, a disrespectful driver receive the same qualification in our society. They are all what they are, their evil and their worst aspects are explained in what their mother is. Again the women, the culprits of almost all the ills of the world! In other words, since they are \\\"immoral\\\" people, who are prostituted for money or whatever, they have raised sons and daughters of the worst kind, who can rape a girl, murder the mother of her children, or massacre a man. the whole town. Son of Rapist! Son of Genocide! Son of Corrupt! Nobody uses them and they are insults that should sound much worse. The dominance of men on this planet is also installed in the way we insult each other.<\/p><p>I am sure that the world, my country and my neighborhood would do better if we stopped insulting. But faced with the difficulty of making this happen immediately, I start a campaign, first with myself: I don't say more son of a bitch. I am not going to allow myself to fall again (I am going to try) into the trap that murderous machismo set me. I am not going to blame mothers for the evil and cruelty of people, I am not going to assign the responsibility of all the worst that happens in this world to women who are prostituted, rather it is the other way around, these women are victims of barbarism and male domination.<\/p><p>It is true that mothers and fathers are partly responsible for the behaviors and ways in which our daughters and sons conduct themselves in life, but people have the wonderful ability to decide what we do and what we say. An adult is defined by full responsibility for his actions. I am responsible for my actions.<\/p><p>Words are very important. They are the most powerful instrument to transmit values and express ideas, someone will tell me: \\\"Don't exaggerate, it's just a way of saying it.\\\" And I answer: it is true, the form undoubtedly makes the content, that is why it is essential to be attentive to the forms.<\/p><p>I don't know how long it's going to take me, I don't know how many times it's going to escape me, what's already happening to me is that I'm ashamed to say it and even hear it.
