Actualidad, Campañas del Mundo, Mujeres Líderes
2014 - Directed by Mary Dore
Between 1960 and 1980, under the slogan that "the personal is political", what is historically known as the third wave of the feminist movement emerged and developed in the United States. This new wave demanded that the justice legislate aspects previously considered as “private”. Thus, not only equality at work or gender stereotypes in the media entered the debate, but also sexuality and female health, violence against women, abortion, roles within the home, among others.
This documentary portrays feminism as an empowered and diverse movement, open to constant internal debates and shaped by numerous currents of thought.
"No victory is permanent" is declared towards the end of the film, regarding the current situation and the importance of continuing to fight for equality.
